There we were in Livingston, Guatemala without a car, nor a local to direct us to the local magic. Fortunately for us, a fisherman stopped and asked us to help him fix his boat's engine. He became our guide, showing us where to find fresh baked coconut biscuits on the beach, a seven-tiered waterfall reachable only by foot, and a café in the rainforest. This kind soul also, unbeknownst to us at the time, gave us the name of our future café and salon: Laru Ni Hati. In his native language of Garifuna this means Clear Blue Sky.
